Terry McAuliffe's Hidden Agenda: 'Don't Let Them Detroit Virginia' - (63,070 views) This is What Virginia Will Look Like under Terry McAuliffe - Red State -  I don’t care what people have to spend: do it.Ed Morrissey is similarly in awe of the sheer bare-knuckles TRUTH of it all, and notes that reportedly it moves the needle: Jim [Geraghty] published an e-mail from Matt Mackowiak of PSG in his Morning Jolt today: We ran a focus group, conducted by nationally-respected McLaughlin and Associates, to test the effectiveness of our “Don’t Let Them Detroit Virginia” ad, which you exclusively reported a few weeks back. Here’s the ad, which has now been viewed over 60,000 times on YouTube alone. Here’s a short summary of ballot movement after viewing: GOP voters: +8 Dem voters: +4 Independents: +2 Women: +4 (McAuliffe loses 4) Men: +5 Over 40: +6 Overall ballot: +5 So if you’re a representative for a group looking to throw down some serious cash on just-in-time Virginia advertising, well, this certainly will get the Left to freak. Because, again: it’s all true. Moe Lane (crosspost) PS: Ken Cuccinelli for governor of Virginia. PPS: To help put this ad on the air, visit: http://www.FightForTomorrow.com

(2) Monica Crowley: America's Fundamental Transformation Under Obama - The Blaze -  Last week on “The O’Reilly Factor,” I recalled how Barack Obama spoke in 2008 about the “fundamental transformation of the nation.” After five years of his presidency, we see the enormous success he’s had in achieving it. The objective was always to move America away from a nation built on individual liberty and economic freedom and toward a government welfare and dependency state. Socialism, communism, statism, leftism — in the end it doesn’t matter what you call it, because what matters is what’s being carried out…and its consequences.Radical wealth redistribution, class warfare, socialized medicine, the atomization of American society, divisive identity politics, the war on success, the loss of our Triple A credit rating, the retrenchment of U.S. power abroad, the gutting of our military, the erosion of our international credibility. It’s all being done deliberately by Obama and the left in order to “fundamentally transform” this country into just another crippled dependency state. After five years of evidence, people are still wondering aloud why Obama doesn’t negotiate, why he doesn’t compromise, why he doesn’t handle things the way, say, Bill Clinton did.   Read more.....

(3) EPA's 'Unprecedented' Power Grab for Private Property - Streams and Wetlands Targeted for Control - American Thinker - Two Republican House members have sent a letter to the EPA questioning new rules being formulated that would give the EPA sweeping authority over streams and wetlands on private property. The EPA is justifying the rules by saying it's part of its mandate to enforce the Clean Water Act. But Reps. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) and Chris Stewart (R-Utah), both ranking members of the Science and Technology Committee, doubt the EPA's science in justifying the regulations and want the agency to slow down and get other opinions. The EPA has defined "wetlands" so broadly that some farmers who have been socked with fines for supposedly damaging or disturbing their own property were astonished to discover that they were violating any laws. Now the EPA wants to expand their power to violate private property rights in the name of environmental protection. Read more.....
