Does the Obama Team Understand the Relationship Between Premiums and Deductibles - American Thinker - Another day and more evidence that the framers of ObamaCare did not really understand what they voted for. Also, you get the feeling that the ObamaCare project was all about politics without regard for any economic considerations, such as the relationship between premiums and deductibles. We are also hearing about "sticker shock" in Oregon and Illinois. This is from a TV report in Oregon: "Some customers of Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, one of Oregon's largest insurance providers, say that's exactly what's happening. They say they are finding their health care plans are dramatically changing under the Affordable Care Act. "Policy holders are seeing almost double their monthly premiums," said a KATU viewer named Larry in an email. He said his wife's premium will increase by $300 under the Affordable Care Act......Who read this law? Was the public lied to when we were told that the Affordable Health Care Act would be affordable? Did anyone understand that there is a relationship between deductibles and premiums? In other words, was anyone told that this plan would be more affordable because deductibles would be significantly higher than what most families currently have? Obama Care is starting to smell like a perfect storm of deception and incompetence. Read more......

(2) 1.4 Billion Reasons to Vote for Ken Cuccinelli - Bearing Drift - Virginians definitely have an economic choice to make this November. In response to the proposed complete elimination of both personal income taxes and the state’s corporate income tax by our competing neighbor North Carolina (announced by NC Senate Finance committee co-chairman Bob Rucho last month) and the new normal of Obamacare’s disastrous 29 hour work week and job killing tax increases, what has Terry McAullife proposed to do? He wants to hand out even more favors from Virginia’s multi-million dollar Governor’s Opportunity Fund and increase spending on targeted, company specific, tax credits. Maybe Greentech, the electric car company of which he was once chairman, and his other rent seeking friends will finally get their piece of the Virginia taxpayer’s wallet. Ken Cuccinelli, on the other hand, proposes a groundbreaking, broad-based, pro-growth, $1.4 billion business and personal tax cut. This will have a direct, positive impact on virtually every Virginia business and individual taxpayer.  Read more.........

(3) Terry MAuliffe's Extreme Agenda - Townhall - Career crony turned perennial candidate Terry McAuliffe’s staked his entire bid for the Virginia Governor’s Mansion on demagoguing Ken Cuccinelli’s stances on social issues. A recent Washington Times editorial summed up the central strategy of the Democrat’s all-too predictable campaign: retread Obama’s scorched earth tactics to cast Cuccinelli as anti-woman, all to cover up his glaring lack of substance. Independent fact checkers have repeatedly debunked mudslinging by the McAuliffe camp, including a recent ad accusing Cuccinelli of trying to ban forms of contraception. The ad opens with an image of a package of birth control pills, as a voiceover says, "These are birth control pills. More than half of American women use them at some point in their lives. But Ken Cuccinelli sponsored a bill that could have made common forms of birth control illegal, including the pill. Read more.........

(4) NFL Player Says He Became a Christian After Jesus Appeared to Him in a Dream - The Blaze - In “The Making of a Champion,” a new video encouraging viewers to embrace the Bible, the NFL player says his pinnacle moment came when he was 14 years old and Jesus Christ appeared to him in a dream and told him to learn more about the faith. “I had a dream one night I was at … football camp … my parents were supposed to pick me up on Sunday to go to church,” he said. “I had a dream that my dad passed away and that Jesus came into the room and he was just knocking on my door saying, ‘Hey you need to find out more about me.’” While Wilson’s parents regularly took him to church, it was this dream that truly moved him to change his ways. The next day, Wilson said, he went to church with his parents and was “saved” — the popular terminology for when an individual formally accepts the Christian faith. Read more......
