John Kerry Pretty Pumped About Signing Off on UN Arms Trade Treaty, White House Oddly Fine with Waiting it Out - Hot Air - The Senate has already come out swinging — on a bipartisan basis, no less — with a symbolic 53-46 vote against the United States’ adoption of the United Nations’ newly finalized Arms Trade Treaty, an international agreement that its globalist advocates claim will be helpful in regulating the conventional arms trade. The Obama administration went pretty mum about the ongoing issue in the run-up to the presidential election, but has since declared their full and enthusiastic support for the project that a group of 130 lawmakers last week called a “deeply flawed” document that “suffers from vagueness” and which they recommend the administration should abstain from signing. Still, Secretary of State John Kerry is pretty darn excited about the prospect of the United States hopping on board with the United Nations’ treaty: Secretary of State John Kerry said Monday that the Obama administration would sign a controversial U.N. treaty on arms regulation, despite bipartisan resistance in Congress from members concerned it could lead to new gun control measures in the U.S. Kerry, releasing a written statement as the U.N. treaty opened for signature Monday, said the U.S. “welcomes” the next phase for the treaty, which the U.N. General Assembly approved on April 2. Read more.......
They are Liars: Beck Says These Then-And-Now Obama Videos Prove It - The Blaze - In the case of health care reform, for instance, President Barack Obama repeatedly promised that families who earn $250,000 a year or less would not see their taxes increases by “one dime” under his plan. But when his lawyers were arguing for the bill in front of the Supreme Court, they said the exact opposite to ensure its passage, arguing that all the new “penalties” are taxes.
“It’s important that you understand the lies that have been told thus far, because they’re only getting worse, and they’re only getting much more dangerous,” Beck warned.
Beck analyzed the president’s words in more detail on his radio program Monday, from the president’s “early years” to the IRS scandal: See more........
Wanted Disruptive Candidates - Redstate - This year will be the 5th RedState Gathering. We will meet the first weekend in August in New Orleans, LA. Five years ago we introduced the nation to Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Nikki Haley, Michael Williams, Ken Cuccinelli, Karen Handel, and more.
In 2010, we worked hard for Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Ken Buck, and others.
This year I am struggling to find good, disruptive candidates to challenge the established ways of Washington. The 2012 defeat, which some of us had predicted back in 2011, has gone exactly as I thought it would. Good candidates have turned their backs and gone to focus on their families and what’s left of their businesses.
We’re going to have awesome speakers: Bobby Jindal, Nikki Haley, Ted Cruz, Ken Cuccinelli, Jim Bridenstine, and more. But they are elected already. Where are the disruptive outsiders who want to join their ranks? They are much harder to find now than in 2010 or even 2012. (By the way, have you registered for the Gathering yet?)
