NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather  - Dumler Protestors Overshadow Budget Hearing - NBC29 News - Chris Dumler may want to put his legal problems behind him, but some of his Albemarle County constituents aren't going to let that happen anytime soon. Monday county supervisors met to talk about the budget, but that plan was overshadowed by a vocal contingent in the audience that is calling for Dumler to resign. While Dumler's plea deal may have lessened his criminal charges, it has increased the uproar in the community with those who want to see him resign. "Frankly, I find what he did loathsome and like many in our area I speak with I find it outrageous that he is still seated on the Board of Supervisors," said Keith Morris, an Albemarle resident. Dumler, who pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor sexual battery charge, says he will not step down. Dumler did not show much emotion as people asked him to resign one by one. For one Dumler opponent, the whole ordeal was too much. "This has disrupted people's lives and he is rolling his [expletive] eyes. He is playing on his computer and rolling his eyes at these women," said Jamie Morgan. Morgan says she doesn't regret her outburst and will continue to speak out until Dumler steps down.  Read more......

(2) Dennis Rooker Denies Scottsville Woman Meeting Over Dumler Situation - Schilling Show Blog - Albemarle County Supervisor, Dennis Rooker, has refused to meet with a Scottsville woman to discuss her concerns over Chris Dumler’s sexual battery conviction and Rooker’s defense of Dumler’s actions as a “youthful mistake.” In a series of emails obtained by The Schilling Show through a Freedom of Information Act request, Rooker denies the woman’s request to meet with him, citing impropriety of subject matter. While Chris Dumler’s admission of sexual battery obviously has been detrimental to his own ability to perform as a Supervisor, now, the Dumler situation appears to be affecting Dennis Rooker’s supervisorial duties, as well.Mr. Rooker, I request a chance to speak with you as a County resident. As fair warning, I am very close to the victim in the Dumler case and am also one of the three women he sexually manipulated and hurt over the three week period during which he raped the victim. One of the other women was 19. She screamed. He recklessly endangered our health by not wearing condoms when asked. He also has a girlfriend. You are making public comments in defense of a man you know nothing about, in a case you know nothing about. I would like insight into why you think it’s appropriate to defend someone like this. Such an out-of-control private life cannot be separated from one’s public life. Whatever happened to integrity?  Read more........

(3) Virginia's Gov. McDonnell Thinks You're an Idiot - Redstate - On Friday, March 15, 2013, at 8:00 a.m. Bob McDonnell will go to CPAC and address the Faith  and Freedom Coalition Prayer Breakfast. For those of you who attend this event, you will be sitting staring at a liar. If you are a conservative, remember Bob McDonnell thinks you’re an idiot. That’s the only explanation I can think of for what just happened in Virginia this week. That, and that McDonnell is an unprincipled fake conservative whose promises are without value, an exemplar of the kind of big government pro-tax Republican who ruined the party’s stature with fiscal conservatives. Bob McDonnell promised when he ran for governor that he’d never raise taxes. He talks a good game to conservative audiences, about principled leadership and the like. He can pretend he’s one of you. He’s got great hair. He’ll speak at the Faith an Freedom Coalition Prayer Breakfast at CPAC as if he is one of us. But when push comes to shove, when the time comes that being a conservative demands that you stand up for what’s right and reject the easy way out, Bob McDonnell is not going to stand on principle. He’s going to cave to what the media calls “leadership” which is really just big government liberalism.   Read more........

(5) NRA Uncovers Department of Justice Gun Memo, AP Not Pleased, discusses gun confiscation - Rush Limbaugh - This is from the AP, and they're mad about this. The NRA has found a Justice Department memo, and they are using it to accuse the Obama administration of wanting to commandeer your guns. They are furious here in this AP story. "The National Rifle Association is using a Justice Department memo it obtained to argue in ads that the Obama [regime] believes its gun control plans won't work unless the government seizes firearms and requires national gun registration..." Now, when everybody makes that accusation, what happens? If you, for example, say, "The regime wants to take your guns," there are catcalls of protest, howls of protest, and you are accused of being a conspiracy kook. They say, "Nobody's ever suggested that! What are you talking about? Nobody wants to take your guns!" I think it's even happened to me. What happened is, the NRA managed to get their hands on a DOJ (Department of Justice) memo that undercuts all of these claims that the regime does not want to get hold of your guns. The AP makes it clear that the only way Obama will get what he wants is through registration and eventually banning guns. That's what the memo says. The NRA has found it.  Read more.......
