Senator Graham Vows to Block Confirmation of Brennan, Hagel, Newsmax - Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation” he will block the confirmation of both John Brennan and Chuck Hagel until President Barack Obama explains his actions the night four Americans were killed in Benghazi, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens. “No confirmation without information,” Graham told host Bob Schieffer. “I don’t think we should allow Brennan to go forward for the CIA directorship, or Hagel to be confirmed for secretary of defense, until the White House gives us an accounting.” The South Carolina Republican chastised the administration for “complete system failure” in response to the attacks of Sept. 11, 2012. “I don’t know what the president did that evening,” Graham said. “I don’t know if he ever called anyone. This was incredibly mismanaged, and what we know now, it seems to be a very disengaged president. What did he do that night? That’s not unfair.” Graham also criticized then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  Read more........ In Virginia: Sen. (2) Virginia: Right-to-Carry Confidentially Bill Will be Considered by the House This Week - NRA-ILA - Senate Bill 1335, patroned by Senator Mark Obenshain (R-26), was reported with a substitute by the House Militia, Police and Public Safety Committee today by a 16-6 vote. The amended version of this bill protects the confidentiality of all concealed handgun permit (CHP) holders in Virginia. S.B. 1335 will be considered on the House floor this week. This legislation is essential for the protection of law-abiding gun owners in the Old Dominion. Recently, there have been several instances of anti-gun media outlets publishing the names and addresses of CHP holders jeopardizing the safety and violating the privacy of law-abiding citizens. Such publications place lawful CHP holders at risk to criminals who may target their home to steal firearms. S.B.1335 would ensure that this never happens in Virginia. It is important that you contact your state Delegate TODAY and respectfully urge him or her to vote for S.B. 1335 because it will increase the safety of Virginians across the Commonwealth. (3) Virginia Legislative Update: CoLA - Virginia Tea Party Federation - The Governor's sales tax hike has passed the House - YOU will pay the 2 Billion that HB2313 will raise for transportation over the next five years. BTW...that 2 Billion includes a few things like Dulles rail (which "We The People" don't want), mass transit projects (that "We The People" don't want), tolls are still an option and you will pay another $15 on your annual car registrations. That's just for starters.... As soon as Congress passes the Internet tax, our Governor is counting on a billion dollars from that Federal kitty. Really? What if that never shows up? BTW....still NO LOCK BOX for transportation funds. WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM, NOT A REVENUE PROBLEM! Call your Senator and ask him to oppose HB2313. Call the Governor and tell him NO NEW TAXES! PERIOD! 804-786-2211.....

OMAMACARE COMES TO VIRGINIA: The Senate has passed the Medicaid expansion - YOUR taxes will have to go up in 5 years to pay for the 400,000 estimated new Medicaid patients after the Federal money runs out! The amendment to SB800 is attached! Call your Delegate and tell him to vote NO on SB800 if it includes the Medicaid expansion. Call the Governor at 804-786-2211. Ask him not to sign SB800 if it includes the medicaid expansion. These Senators have already voted NO to this atrocity. Please call and thank them. Senators Garrett, Martin, Obenshain and Smith.

Water Quality Control - Storm water Bill DEQ is going to be taking over DCR. Both houses have passed a substitute bill (HB2048 and SB1279). Now there will be a conference committee followed by an up or down vote in each house. The only question is: Will it be the 93 page monster or the 59 page one? Local BOS members are already being warned that there are going to be a lot of changes. "SO GET READY"! This merger removes the checks and balances that protect land owners and stormwater will be defined as Nonpoint Source pollution. From the Senate substitute Feb. 7th. line 3053 "Nonpoint Source pollution" means pollution such as sediment, nitrogen, phosphorus, hydrocarbons, 3054 heavy metals, and toxics whose sources cannot be pinpointed but rather are washed from the land 3055 surface in a diffuse manner by stormwater runoff. 3069 "Stormwater" means precipitation that is discharged across the land surface or through conveyances 3070 to one or more waterways and that may include storm water runoff, snow melt runoff, and surface 3071 runoff and drainage. 3072 "Stormwater management plan" means a document containing material describing methods for 3073 complying with the requirements of a VSMP CALL your Delegate, Senator and the Governor. 804-786-2211 . Neither version of this legislation is acceptable. Let them know you are adamantly opposed to this transfer of power.
