The Campaign Hurricane Emails - Obama seeks cash for his campaign; Romney sends prayers and asks for donations to charities, American Thinker - None so painful as this shameless tripe on the eve of a dangerous storm affecting 20% of the U.S. population: Obama's Campaign Email: Greg- After all Barack has done in office, and after all you have done to build this campaign, we can't afford to watch everything slip away on Election Night. But the other side has out-raised us-our opponents have $45 million more than we do for the Final Stretch.... And none of us has ever seen what a barrage of money like that will do. That's why we need to do everything we can in the last days, and why we still need your support. And, until, tomorrow night, any donation you make will automatically enter you to meet Barack on Election Night! We can either give it our all in these final days, or wake up on November 7th wishing we'd done a little more. Don't wait! Supporting this campaign once more will move us closer to victory, and enter you to win a trip to join Barack on Election Night. Thanks, Michelle Contrast that to the Romney e-mail this morning: Greg- Tonight, Ann and I are keeping the people in Hurricane Sandy's path in our thoughts and prayers. I hope that if you can, you will reach out to your neighbors who may need help getting ready for the storm-especially your elderly neighbors. And if you can give of your resources or time, please consider supporting your local Red Cross organization - visit www.redcross.org to get involved. For safety's sake, as you and your family prepare for the storm, please be sure to bring any yard signs inside. In high winds, they can be dangerous and cause damage to homes and property. I'm never so proud of Americans as when I see how we pull together in a crisis. There's nothing that we can't handle when we stand together. Stay safe and God bless, Mitt Romney Here, in a nutshell, is next Tuesday's choice.... A man of character or a man of particularly egregious moral failings compounded by the media's likeminded turpitude in failing, completely, to expound on the egregiousness. Note how Romney selflessly seeks donations, not for himself, but for hurricane relief; whereas, Obama, via Antoinette, grovels for dimes. Read more........

Can the Police Take Your Gun(s) During a State of Emergency? - The Blaze - As superstorm Sandy was preparing to pound the Eastern United States, Cam Edwards, of NRA News, joined Glenn Beck on his television program Monday to discuss Americans’ gun rights during a state of emergency. “You need to know your rights,” Beck said. “This is what happens when people’s rights are trampled in an emergency…Somebody takes advantage of that situation,” he later added. Beck went on to air part of a news report about a woman who was disarmed and forced from her home during Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.  Read more.......

Obama Goes Off Teleprompter on Gun Control - American Thinker -The president has kept his gun control agenda under wraps during his first term, although in another off-teleprompter moment last year, Obama told the head of the Brady gun-ban group "we are working on it ... we just have to go through a few processes, but under the radar." But with his debate remarks the president has handed the NRA the opening to say "we told you so" -- not only on so-called assault weapons, but also on handguns, as reported by the Washington Examiner: Read more......

Would Obama  Incite Civil Unrest to Win? - American Thinker - Is President Obama willing to incite civil unrest to win re-election? As we have all been encouraged to wear our dog-whistle decoders these days, one can hardly be blamed for wondering. Worse yet, we know the answer. He is already doing it. Please bear with me, as this topic requires considerable delicacy. According to Rolling Stone, Barack Obama has now called Mitt Romney "a ___________," on the record. His anger at the challenger was palpable -- that is, carefully staged -- during each of the last two presidential debates. And he has made a central theme of his campaign the warning that a Romney presidency would erase all of the "equality" victories of the 1960s and '70s.  Read more.......

Peggy Noonan: When Americans Saw the Real Obama - Wall Street Journal - We all say Ohio, Ohio, Ohio. But it's all still Denver, Denver, and the mystery that maybe isn't a mystery at all. If Cincinnati and Lake County go for Mitt Romney on Nov. 6 it will be because of what happened in Denver on Oct. 3. If Barack Obama barely scrapes through, if there's a bloody and prolonged recount, it too will be because of Denver. Nothing echoes out like that debate. It was the moment that allowed Mr. Romney to break through, that allowed dismay with the incumbent to coalesce, that allowed voters to consider the alternative.  Read more.........
