Obama Increased Foreign Aid 80%; Spent 76% More on Foreign Aid than Border Security - CNS News - From fiscal 2008 to fiscal 2011, according to the U.S. Treasury, the federal government increased spending on foreign aid by 80 percent and, in fiscal 2011, spent 76 percent more on foreign aid than it did securing the borders of the United States. In fiscal 2008, the government spent a total of $11.427 billion in international assistance programs, according to the Monthly Treasury Statement. In fiscal 2011, according to the statement, it spent $20.599 billion—an increase of $9.172 billion, or 80 percent, from 2008. Prior to President Obama taking office, international assistance spending had been trending down for three years, according to the Treasury. In fiscal 2005, it was $14.787 billion. In fiscal 2006, it dropped to $13.914 billion. In fiscal 2007, it dropped again to $12.764 billion. And, in fiscal 2008, it dropped yet again to $11.427 billion.  Read more........

Two Border Patrol Agents Shot in Arizona, One Killed - The Blaze - Two border patrol agents were shot near the Arizona border and one was killed on Tuesday morning, authorities said. Ironically, the shooting occurred at the Brian Terry station near Naco, AZ. Terry is the agent shot and killed in Dec. 2010 by someone wielding a gun from the Fast and Furious gunwalking operation. Fox News has more: The area is considered a remote part of the state and sources tell Fox News that the shooting occurred about eight miles from the border. The injured agent was airlifted to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. The search for the killer is being led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office. Homeland Security has confirmed the shooting and the death, the Associated Press says. The agents were shot while patrolling on horseback in Naco, Ariz., at about 1:50 a.m. MST Tuesday, the Border Patrol said in a statement.  Read more, watch video.....

Doctors Choose Romney Over Obama, 55-36% - Daily Caller - A new survey shows Mitt Romney with a commanding lead over President Barack Obama among doctors, with Obamacare helping to sway their votes. If the election were held today, 55 percent of physicians reported they would vote for Romney while just 36 percent support Obama, according to a survey released by Jackson and Coker, a division of Jackson Healthcare, the third largest health care staffing company in the United States. Fifteen percent of respondents said they were switching their vote from Obama in 2008 to Romney in 2012. The top reasons cited for this change was the Affordable Care Act and the failure to address tort reform. Leadership style, failure to follow through on campaign promises, unemployment and the general state of the economy were also factors.  Read more.......


Woodward: Obama Planning to Cut $250B from Medicare Over 10 Years - Hot Air -Team Obama has attacked Mitt Romney over Medicare cuts even before Romney added Paul Ryan to the ticket, and certainly that’s been a major campaign theme for Democrats ever since. Romney has responded by pointing out that Obama cut more than $700 billion from Medicare not to strengthen the program, but to expand Medicaid at the expense of senior choice through the Medicare Advantage program. However, Team Romney might have some additional ammunition after Bob Woodward’s appearance on Morning Joe today.
