Presidential Election 2012 - #4171 -VIDEO & PHOTOS: Barack Obama Campaign Stop in Charlottesville - Route 29 Shut Down ONE HOUR BEFORE AND AFTER - NTelos Pavillon Speech - Welborn Freedom Watch

WHAT HAPPENED ON ROUTE 29 WEDNESDAY WHEN BARACK OBAMA MADE A CAMPAIGN STOP IN CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA.
Brief clip from NTelos Pavillon, Downtown Mall - The Motorcade traveling back to the Charlottesville Airport.  Sorry for the shakiness, I was trying to video and take photos, not a winning combination.  Unbelievable how many vehicles in the motorcade, from motorcycles, numerous SUVs, state and local police, rescue squads and ambulances.

Route 29 was closed from 2:30 - 3:30 pm, until Barack Obama's motorcade passed en route to a campaign stop at the NTelos Pavillon on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall.  As I traveled Route 29 almost to the airport I saw State Police and local police cars lined up all along Route 29 every 100' or so, from the City limits to the Airport, waiting for the call to close Route 29 on Obama's way back to the airport from approximately 3:45 to 4:45 pm. A lot of people spent a lot of time blocked in traffic, and I can't even imagine how much it cost for businesses, and for security at the county and state level, to close Route 29 for one hour before and after the motorcade passing. Next time I see people lining the streets when Barack Obama visits, I will know the streets were closed, and many people were blocked from leaving, and had nowhere else to go.

We were asked to please not block this 3 "- 'Obama 2012' Sign.

They appeared and in a flash they were gone.
