Tuesday is the day for Virginia voters to make their choice for Republican candidate for United States Senate. Polls open throughout the Commonwealth at 6:00,am Tuesday, June 12. Voters will make a choice between four candidates for the GOP nomination. Including: Governor George Allen, Delegate Bob Marshall, Bishop E.W. Jackson and Jamie Radtke. George Allen has raised his sights on November by asking voters to turn out to support him on Tuesday. Allen is appealing to voters to have a solid showing at the polls. In essence, to ‘send a message’ to opponent Tim Kaine’s campaign that the Allen campaign has the support and organization to win. Win not just in the primary, but the drive and voter intensity to win the general election on November 6. Allen has increased his already busy event schedule to ramp up voter turn out for Tuesday’s primary. Allen and his wife, Susan, have criss crossed the Commonwealth for months leading up to the primary. Allen will have his last campaign events in Stafford and Ashburn to round out his primary bid. George Allen’s experience, focus and campaign structure position him to be the best candidate to win versus former DNC Chair Tim Kaine. Governor Allen’s focus is on the mark to increase opportunities for job and economic growth. He understands the necessity of repealing job killing regulations that are impeding businesses. NRA Endorses George Allen for US Senate - Newsmax - The National Rifle Association is throwing its support behind Virginia's George Allen for U.S. Senate in the June 12 Republican primary election. America’s leading gun safety education group cited Allen's stellar record of defending the Second Amendment and protecting the constitutional right to bear arms. The NRA has more than 4 million current members nationwide. George Allen maintained a strong pro-gun voting record during his time in Congress. He co-sponsored the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which stopped lawsuits that would have bankrupted gun manufacturers by holding them responsible for the acts of criminals. He sponsored legislation for National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity. Allen co-sponsored the Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act and voted to prohibit gun confiscation during states of emergency.
