Elections 2012 - #3941 - PHOTOS: Charlottesville GOP Summer Gathering - Robert Hurt, Susan Allen, E. W. Jackson

It was Mid 70's and clear, the best weather possible weather for the City of Charlottesville GOP high noon summer gathering at the Pen Park Pavilion. Joe Thomas opened the event, followed with a prayer by Rob Schilling and an enthusiastic pledge by the large gathering of conservatives. After everyone had selected some of the great food from the buffet and found a seat, Buddy Webber said a few words and introduced the featured speakers. First up was E.W. Jackson, then George Allen's wife Susan speaking on his behalf(both GOP candidates for Virginia's U.S. Senate seat), followed by our 5th District Congressman Robert Hurt running for reelection. All gave inspiring speeches which rallied the troops for the upcoming elections. It was the largest gathering put on by the City of Charlottesville Republicans in recent memory, maybe ever! Hat's off to Buddy Webber, Pat Napoleon, Barbra Null, Joe Thomas, and all the other city GOP members involved in putting on this successful event.  Commentary and Photos from Steve Peters.
