Barack Obama - #3952 - National Defense Authorization Act: Judge: Americans Cannot Be Indefinitely Detained Over Terrorist Suspicion (2) Obama Stonewalling Gulf Oil Spill Disclosure - American Thinker (3) New Docs Reportedly Show Obama Was a Member of the Far Left 'New Party' - The Blaze

Earlier this week, New York District Court Judge Katherine B. Forrest made some clarifying remarks on an injunction she made in May, saying that her ruling of indefinite detention of Americans under terrorist suspicion as unconstitutional applied to everyone, not just the plaintiffs involved. “Put more bluntly, the May 16 order enjoined enforcement of Section 1021(b)(2) against anyone until further action by this, or a higher, court — or by Congress,” she wrote in her memorandum opinion and order. “This order should eliminate any doubt as to the May 16 order’s scope.” The New York Times reports Forrest’s May 16 injunction was brought to her by journalists and activists fearing they could be detained under the National Defense Authorization Act of 2011. The Obama Administration believed her order would only apply to the plantiffs, including journalist Chris Hedges and Wikileaks activist Brigitta Jonsdottir. The Times reports the Administration “saying that the plaintiffs lacked legal standing to challenge the law and that it was ‘extraordinary’ for her to have restrained future military operations that might be ordered by the commander in chief during wartime.” Still, in her clarifications, Forrest maintained her initial order that Americans should be not indefinitely detained and elaborated to include that she meant all Americans — not just the plaintiffs. In her memorandum she writes, “this order is intended to leave no doubt on that issue.”  Read more.........

DID THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION DELIBERATELY DELAY CONTAINING THE GULF OIL SPILL?
Obama Stonewalling Gulf Oil Spill Disclosure - American Thinker The Obama administration is desperately trying to avoid coming clean about its role in delaying capping the Gulf Oil Spill. The Obama administration is desperately trying to avoid coming clean about its role in delaying capping the Gulf Oil Spill. Billions of dollars in fines are at stake, so BP is fighting in court to force release of correspondence related to handling the Gulf Oil Spill which might indicate that the federal government unnecessarily and substantially delayed the use of technology that was ultimately proven successful........ Rebecca Mowbray of the New Orleans Times-Picayune has the details of the battle underway in a New Orleans federal court: We can reasonably infer that the authors of those 21 documents may include President Barack Obama, his then-chief of Staff Rahm "Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste" Emanuel, and Energy and Climate Change Czarina Carol "Midnight Moratorium" Browner from the White House, not to mention Energy Secretary Steven "Solyndra" Chu, Interior Secretary Ken "Boot on Their Neck" Salazar, and Admiral Thad "An Overabundance of Caution" Allen of Homeland Security's United States Coast Guard. All of them had a lot to say and or do publicly during the oil spill containment operations. Now it seems that BP wants to let the American public know about what its people were doing in private as they commanded BP's operations. BP knows what its employees did in private, as it was on the receiving end of those orders. They now want to share the details of those orders with the general public.   Read more........

New Docs Reportedly Show Obama Was a Member of the Far Left 'New Party' - The Blaze - President Barack Obama has been challenged before about his alleged ties to the “New Party,” a far-left political group that once served as a third party option in the American political schema. Last month, The Blaze highlighted some images that seemed to corroborate the president’s alleged past ties to groups like the Democratic Socialists of America and, alas, the New Party, despite his campaign’s 2008 denial that he was a member of the movement. As noted, a picture of Obama was published on the cover of the New Party News pamphlet back in 1996, serving as a small sliver of evidence that he had potential ties with the political party. Now, in a new piece for National Review, Stanley Kurtz is claiming that Obama’s ties to the controversial group were extensive — and corroborated — by recently uncovered documents.  Read more........
