Planned Parenthood continues to find itself in the midst of controversy. Karen Reynolds, a former employee at one of the organization’s Lufkin, Texas, clinics, has blown the whistle on an alleged multi-million-dollar billing scheme. Reynolds, who worked as a health center assistant for the clinic from 1999 until 2009, claims that she was instructed to help the organization bring in optimal revenue by falsifying records. In the end, this purportedly enabled the organization to extract monies from Medicaid and the Women’s Health Program for services that were never granted. According to Reynolds, this was the procedure that staff followed in all 12 Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast clinics in both Texas and Louisiana. The Lufkin News reports: The suit alleges that, in addition to falsifying patient records, billing the government for unwarranted services and services not covered by Medicaid, Planned Parenthood tacked on services patient did not receive.  An example given in the suit is Medicaid being billed for birth control counseling. The suit states almost all Women’s Health Program and Medicaid patients were handed a bag of at least two birth control devices despite the fact the items were not needed or requested by the patient.  Read more..........

Planned Parenthood Declares War on Catholic Food Bank? - The Blaze - Even if you’re not a health care provider, or even a donor, be advised that saying “no” to Planned Parenthood will get you loads of hate mail, and possibly even a few abusive phone calls.  LifeSiteNews brings us the story of a food bank in Green Bay, Wisconsin, affiliated with a local Catholic Church, which was allegedly targeted not for refusing to donate to Planned Parenthood, but for refusing a donation from Planned Parenthood. Apparently, the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Green Bay got a call from the local Planned Parenthood asking if they’d be willing to send a truck around to accept donations of food and/or money from the organization.  The food bank, sensing that Planned Parenthood was trolling for a photo opportunity with a truck that came from a Catholic organization, politely declined, citing religious objections and suggested some other food pantries. The response was possibly excessive. A worker at the pantry explains:  “Within 20 minutes I was getting phone calls and emails calling us [names]. The calls that day came from the Milwaukee area, where Planned Parenthood is headquartered. We have caller ID.”  Read more........

Hooking Kids on Sex, Graphic Video Report Shows How Planned Parenthood is Creating Future Customers: On the heels of the fracas that resulted from the Susan G. Komen Foundation pulling Planned Parenthood funding, and then reinstating it, comes a new report that might make the breast cancer research giant a little uncomfortable.  The American Life League has released a graphic new video report that it says shows how Planned Parenthood “exposes children to sexual material in order to seed a generation of sex addicts, who will become future customers for the abortion giant.”  Read more.........
