Steve Peters Commentary - #2882 - David Limbaugh: Obama's Scandalous War Against Domestic Oil - Townhall (2) America Has More Recoverable Fossil Fuel Resources Than Any Other Country - Conservatives for Palin (3) Try Not to Think of a Waterboard - Wall Street Journal

Do you remember the terrible things the left was saying about President George W. Bush when gas prices soared under his watch? Yet President Obama, whose policies and actions are actually contributing to rocketing gas prices today, gets the usual mainstream media pass. Is it that the liberal media exempt Obama from accountability because they're on his team in general? Is it because they think he's blameless in the equation even though they sprang to the unfounded conclusion that Bush was culpable? Or could it be that they aren't critical because they share his bias against conventional energy and believe the pain caused by his policies is necessary to move us toward alternative energy sources? America Has More Recoverable Fossil Fuel Resources Than Any Other Country - Conservatives for Palin - Yes, despite the conventional wisdom being peddled by the inept Obama Administration, you read the headline correctly. Via Peter C. Glover at the Energy Tribune:  In case anyone missed it, let me repeat something that is of a magnitude of 10 on the scale of news-quakes for Joe Public USA: America’s combined energy resources are, according to a new report from the Congressional Research Service (CSR), the largest on earth. They eclipse Saudi Arabia (3rd), China (4th) and Canada (6th) combined – and that’s without including America’s shale oil deposits and, in the future, the potentially astronomic impact of methane hydrates.  Glover provides the above helpful chart to illustrate his point: Read more...... SP:We are all cheering that our wonderful and professional troops killed Osama, but there is another war going on right here in America against our way of life that should make everyone very concerned. We should all ask ourselves the following questions now, and when we enter the voting booth. The U.S. has more recoverable fossil fuel resources than any other country in the world(see last article linked), but one political party, consistently blocks our ability to access these God given natural resources. Why? Who has had a more negative effect on our wallets and freedoms over the last several years, Obama or Osama? Who has bankrupted more offshore drilling companies in America, Osama or Obama? Who said they planned to bankrupt U.S. energy companies attempting to bring coal fired plants on line, Obama or Osama? Who "Robbed" the U.S. treasury of $2 billion dollars and handed it over to Petrobras(a foreign oil company), controlled by Brazil, whose president is a former guerrilla and marxist student, Osama or Obama? Which political party has been yelling that they wanted gas to go up significantly, so it would help to sell their green energy policies? Which political party crippled the offshore drilling industry by ignoring federal court orders, and refused to issue oil drilling permits in the gulf? When a voter complained about the high gas prices, which politician suggested that he buy a new fuel efficient car? Which political party continues to perpetuate the scientifically discredited hoax of global warming, in an attempt to obtain more control over it's citizens? What political party has virtually stopped issuing any permits for shale oil production in an area that has 3 times the proven oil reserves of Saudi Arabia? Which political party in 2009 voted to declared two millions acres of America off limits to it's citizens, and millions of more acres off limits to any type of energy exploration? These questions just expose the tip of the iceberg that represents the war on America that is being waged against our pocketbooks, freedoms, and way of life. Hint, answers for any of the above questions are not Osama, any other affiliated terrorist organization, the Republican Party, nor any politician associated with the GOP.

Try Not to Think of a Waterboard - Wall Street Journal - The Puffington Host headline could have been written in 2004: "Administration Grows Frustrated as Conversation Shifts From bin Laden to Waterboarding."  Everyone's talking about how we shouldn't talk about "torture." "Do we have to have another big national debate about torture?" complains Slate's Dahlia Lithwick. "Really, do we have to?" She then offers this sledgehammer-sharp bit of analysis:  That the only reason we are having this discussion at all is because we have tortured [sic] people. That's the problem with doing stupid things: You spend the rest of your life trying to convince yourself that maybe they weren't so stupid after all. Had we not water-boarded prisoners eight years ago, nobody would be making the argument that water-boarding "worked."  Read more........ SP: Liberal Democrats refuse to accept our world and individuals who live in it as they really exist. When reality conflicts with their desired view of the universe, they refuse to accept the reality, and is why almost all of their actions and programs result in failure. Because their measurement of success is how they feel about what they were doing, and not the actual outcome of any given program, their failure is continually repeated.
