Daily Commentary from Steve Peters.  Obama Policies Fuel Global Food Crisis Through Ethanol Mandates While Fostering Obesity in America - Food prices are soaring all over the world. The global food chain is reportedly stretched to the limit, fueled by the fact “that more than a third of the corn produced in the U.S is now used to make ethanol.” As a result of such “bio-fuels” subsidies, one of the world’s largest food producers predicts a “global food crisis.” Unfortunately, the Obama administration has long pushed ethanol subsidies, even though such subsidies have a history of spawning famines and food riots overseas.
For example, the costly climate-change legislation backed by the administration contained massive ethanol subsidies. Read more....... Obama's energy policies are not only dramatically raising energy prices, but also creating a food crisis throughout the world. These shortages and price spikes are having a direct impact on the riots we are seeing take place around the world. If the Republicans cannot end the ethanol subsidies that have no positive impact on anyone or anything, but the politicians who receive contributions and the companies that receive the government subsidies, what can they ever get rid of? The Tea Parties should do an all out push to really save on the budget and the environment by forcing the FEDS to end ethanol subsidies immediately!

Hands Off My Mental Activity - Rich Lowry - Kentucky Standard -  .......At issue is the individual mandate. Two other district-court judges have struck it down on grounds that Congress doesn’t have the power under the Commerce Clause of the Constitution to require that everyone buy health insurance. If someone doesn’t purchase insurance, he hasn’t done anything. He isn’t engaged in activity that may or may not affect interstate commerce, but in sheer inactivity. Never before has anyone thought Congress could regulate nonevents.  The easy-to-grasp distinction between an activity and inactivity is one of the most powerful legal arguments of ObamaCare’s opponents. But they hadn’t yet run up against a jurist as ingenious as Judge Kessler. She brushes the activity/inactivity distinction aside because not doing something is a choice and therefore “mental activity.”  Read more........   This liberal judges ruling upholding the constitutionality of ObamaCare is extremely contorted and illogical. By the judges definition, not only is "the butterfly effect" an interstate commerce event, but the mere fact that the butterfly decides NOT to flap it's wings is also considered an "Action" covered by the commerce clause.

Bachmann Exclusive: Obama, Reid and Pelosi Deceitfully Hid $105 Billion in Obamacare - Newsmax - Rep. Michele Bachmann tells Newsmax that President Barack Obama, Sen. Harry Reid and Rep. Nancy Pelosi should apologize to the American people for the $105 billion appropriation they “deceitfully” hid in the healthcare reform legislation.  The Minnesota Republican declares that the “stunning revelation” of the expenditure points to “one of the biggest lies we have ever seen.”  Bachmann, founder of the House Tea Party Caucus, also asserts that Obama wants $8-a-gallon gasoline to drive America toward green energy, says Republicans should hire their own lawyer to represent the Defense of Marriage Act in court, and warns that a second Obama term would be “even worse” than a second Jimmy Carter term would have been.  Read more.......

We, the Unhyphenated Americans - Meet My Peope - National Review Online -  My fellow Americans, who are “your people”? I ask because U.S. attorney general Eric Holder, who is black, used the phrase “my people” in congressional testimony this week. It was an unmistakably color-coded and exclusionary reference intended to deflect criticism of the Obama Justice Department’s selective enforcement policies. It backfired.  In pandering to skin-deep identity politics and exacerbating race-consciousness, Holder has given the rest of us a golden opportunity to stand up, identify “our people,” and show the liberal poseurs what post-racialism really looks like.  Read more.......    The preamble to the Constitution of the United States starts...We the people of the United States, not your people, not my people, not their people. This administration has been the most divisive and polarizing in recent memory. They attempt to consolidate power by pitting one group against another.
