Wisconsin Teacher Union Protests - #2651 -VIDEO: Wisconsin Governor to Fugitive Democrat Senators: Do Your Job - Hot Air (2) VIDEO: Rhetoric vs. Reality: Wisconsin GOP VID Captures Hateful Rhetoric at Union Protests -The Blaze (3) DNC Playing Role in Wisconsin Protests - Politico (4) VIDEO: Update: Fleeing Wisconsin Dems Found Hiding Out at Illinois Resort - The Blaze

Do you want to know the facts about what is at the heart of the protests in Wisconsin, Governor Scott Walker explains the issues very plainly so everyone will understand how these issues are being misunderstood, I believe, intentionally by the unions and teachers.  (1) 5.8% contribution to pension systems, which is the national average, many workers do not even have a pension, period.  (2) For Health Care Premiums - want union members to contribute 12.5%, which is half of national average, most workers would love this benefit,  as both of these requests would help prevent layoffs for workers, AW.

Rhetoric vs. Reality: Wisconsin GOP Video Captures Hateful Rhetoric at Union Protests - The Blaze - Remember when so many pundits were trying to convince America that violent, hateful rhetoric was an epidemic on the right, and that conservatives were generally hateful people? Well, the Wisconsin Republican Party has put together a video using evidence from this week‘s liberal protests against the governor’s emergency budget bill that uncovers plenty of angry rhetoric from the left. Besides showing examples of such rhetoric, the video cleverly juxtaposes the evidence with accusations and calls for civility from the left.  Hard to believe it was 6 weeks ago after Giffords shooting, the Tea Party and GOP were said to be solely responsible for the hate and racist policies, they can't stand on truth, the unions involved and Democrat leaders in the Wisconsin resort to trickery and violence, rather than face the reality of the fiscal mess they have been primarily responsible for creating, AW.

DNC Playing Role in Wisconsin Protests - Politico - The Democratic National Committee's Organizing for America arm -- the remnant of the 2008 Obama campaign -- is playing an active role in organizing protests against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's attempt to strip most public employees of collective bargaining rights.  OfA, as the campaign group is known, has been criticized at times for staying out of local issues like same-sex marraige, but it's riding to the aide of the public sector unions who hoping to persuade some Republican legislators to oppose Walker's plan. And while Obama may have his difference with teachers unions, OfA's engagement with the fight -- and Obama's own clear stance against Walker -- mean that he's remaining loyal to key Democratic Party allies at what is, for them, a very dangerous moment.  Read more........

UPDATE: Fleeing Wisconsin Dems Found Hiding Out At Illinois Resort - The Blaze - Democrats from the Wisconsin state legislature who fled the capitol to avoid a tough vote on Gov. Scott Walker’s budget proposal have been found. According to local NBC affiliate TMJ4, the lawmakers checked into the Best Western Clock Tower Resort in Rockford, Ill. Wisconsin law enforcement officials have been searching for at least one Democratic senator to bring back to Madison for a quorum required to move forward with the fiscal measure, but every last Democrat boarded buses earlier Thursday and left the state.  With the Democrats hiding out just across the state line, the Senate’s Sergeant at Arms remains unable to compel their attendance.  “For those looking for us, we are right here, standing with the people of Wisconsin,” Democratic Senator Chris J. Larson tweeted late Thursday afternoon, apparently from Illinois.  Read more....... What cowards!  Rather than dealing with the fiscal mess in their state, elected state officials have fled, rather than staying and acting like the mature state senators the voters thought they elected.  Is it time for Obama to flee the United States so we can find solutions without him?  He certainly doesn't have the majority of Americans' best interests in his new budget or day-to-day policies for the United States, AW.
