The horror show uncovered by a grand jury in Philadelphia has resulted in a significant change in Pennsylvania policy regarding abortion clinics. Governor Tom Corbett has announced that abortion clinics will get unannounced inspections during any hours of operation, and the results of inspections will get posted on line. Nine state workers have been terminated in the wake of the grotesque series of crimes Kermit Gosnell allegedly committed: Pennsylvania governor Tom Corbett has fired some state workers and suspended others in the wake of a far-reaching investigation of a West Philadelphia abortion clinic by a Philadelphia grand jury. No Tax Dollars for Abortion - H.R. 3 - Family Research Council  -For an encore, Lila Rose released a seventh tape Wednesday that's guaranteed to hit a little closer to home. This time, the audio is plucked right out of Congress's own backyard, a Planned Parenthood clinic in the heart of downtown D.C. In the shadow of Capitol Hill--its most prominent benefactor--Planned Parenthood couldn't be more disinterested in the plight of child prostitutes. This is the sixteenth time the same organization has been caught on tape covering up child sex abuse. What other business is rewarded with 363 million taxpayer dollars when it breaks the law? ......Chances are, fairly soon. Thanks to the work of Reps. Chris Smith (R-N.J.), Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.), Joe Pitts (R-Pa.), and Mike Pence (R-Ind.), three bills that our staff helped craft are taking direct aim at the abortion industry's cushy deal with taxpayers. Because of your help, we now have the most pro-life House leadership and membership ever.......Those protections can be found in H.R. 3, the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act," which is just a few cosponsors shy of 218. Once it hits that pivotal number, the legislation is guaranteed to have a floor vote and pass. It also sends a powerful message to the President and pro-abortion majority in the Senate that our pro-life voice is stronger than theirs. Please take a minute to contact your members and ask them to cosponsor H.R. 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.    Read more........

Planned Parenthood Funding - Family Research Council -Planned Parenthood must have felt particularly jilted by House Republicans on Valentine's Day, because President Cecile Richards launched an angry video about the budget feud. Apparently, she doesn't take too kindly to Republicans meddling in Planned Parenthood's illicit relationship with Uncle Sam.At least for now. Congressman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) is doing his best to pull out Planned Parenthood's federal funding by the roots. As part of the continuing resolution (CR) that Republicans have offered, Mike is working on an amendment that goes beyond even his Title X bill and asks that not one cent be made available "for any purpose"--not only to Planned Parenthood Federation, but to its 100-plus affiliates. Meanwhile, his colleague Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Fl.) is attacking the issue from another angle: putting the administration on the stand. Now that he chairs the House Energy and Commerce oversight committee, he plans to haul HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius before Congress in a hearing. In light of the Lila Rose tapes, he wants to know why taxpayers are funding an organization that repeatedly covers up child prostitution and sexual abuse. America's biggest abortion factory is on the run. Contact your congressmen and tell them to defund Planned Parenthood!
