Gov. Tom Corbett
Hundreds or thousands of live, viable babies have been slaughtered over three decades in a Pennsylvania clinic, and now the two agencies that supposedly regulate medical facilities claim they didn’t know that their jurisdictions covered abortion clinics. Governor Tom Corbett has demanded answers within a week as to how Pennsylvania’s Departments of Health and State could have allowed Kermit Gosnell’s charnel house to continue its operations. His predecessor, Ed Rendell, declared himself “flabbergasted” to hear the excuses from the two bureaucracies:  Gov. Tom Corbett said Friday that he gave the Health Department and the secretary of State a one-week deadline to report to him on what happened in the bungled oversight of a squalid abortion clinic that a Philadelphia prosecutor described as a “house of horrors,” where babies born alive were killed with scissors.  Read more.......

Shocker: Pro-Abortion Politics Gutted Normal Inspection of Abortion Horror Clinic - American Thinker - The Pennsylvania grand jury that indicted Dr. Kermit Gosnell for murder and infanticide for his botched abortions carried out in horrifyingly unsanitary conditions also has revealed a second scandal: Pro-abortion politics prevented normal inspection of his facility for 17 years. Marian Wang of Pro Publica reveals the story, quoting the grand jury report: The Pennsylvania Department of Health abruptly decided, for political reasons, to stop inspecting abortion clinics at all. The politics in question were not anti-abortion, but pro. With the change of administration from Governor Casey to Governor Ridge, officials concluded that inspections would be "putting a barrier up to women" seeking abortions.  Read more.......

One Gosnell Victim Speaks - Hot Air - CNN interviews LaToya Ransome, one of the victims of Kermit Gosnell, who faces eight counts of murder and other charges for his gruesome abortion practice in Philadelphia. Ransome, clearly reluctant to be on camera, relates how Gosnell’s work ended up making her so ill that she had to have open-heart surgery and disabled her. Ransome says that the death penalty is too easy for him and wants him to get life in prison instead:  Read more......

House of Horrors: Pa. Women - Abortions Left Us Sterile, Near Death - The Blaze - Women who say they were left scarred or injured by an abortion doctor now charged with murder are describing their experiences at his West Philadelphia clinic.  Thirty-year-old Davida Johnson says when she got pregnant in 2001 she first visited Planned Parenthood but was scared off by anti-abortion protesters. She says she then went to Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s clinic and was left with venereal disease and later suffered four miscarriages.  Gosnell is being held without bail in the deaths of a 41-year-old patient and seven babies prosecutors say were born alive and then were killed with scissors.  The 69-year-old Gosnell says he was serving poor residents of the neighborhood where he grew up.  Prosecutors call his clinic a “house of horrors.”  Read more.........
