Virginia 5th District Race - #2362- Robert Hurt Unseats Perriello - The Daily Progress

Robert Hurt unseats Perriello - The Daily Progress - Republican state Sen. Robert Hurt unseated U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello, D-Ivy, in Tuesday’s midterm congressional election, promising an end to what his campaign called the Democrats’ “job-killing, big-spending, big-government” agenda. Hurt, 41, won the election with 50.9 percent of the vote with nearly all precincts reporting, according to unofficial results posted late Tuesday. “You all made it possible,” Hurt told some 300 supporters in front of Chatham’s courthouse. “We have traveled all across the 5th District and we have heard it again and again … People are yearning for change in this country — but not the change we got two years ago.”  Read more........

A lot of great Patriots put in a lot of effort in the 5th District to help with Robert Hurt's election to the U. S. Congress, many hours away from home, family and friends, trips to Washington, D.C. and all over Virginia and the Fifth District for his campaign, and to help get back the freedoms and liberties for our country from the Democratic House, Senate and Barack Obama.  I know I speak for everyone, that it was worth every effort to help achieve the results that happened last night.  Congratulations to everyone!!
