Tea Party Movement - #2265 - Five Factions of the Tea Party Movement - Part 2 - The Left Flank - Tom White - Virginia Right

In part one of the series we discussed the five factions that make up the Tea Party. Part 2 will define the group at the left most position in the Tea Party. Depending on one’s point of view, these people could be considered the moderate faction.  The number of members of the Left Flank would fall pretty much in the middle when comparing the membership of each faction. This group would contain the largest numbers of disillusioned Obama voters. Some are Democrats, but not necessarily Blue Dog type Democrats. Many voted for George W. Bush in 2004 and Obama in 2008. They became disillusioned with Bush and thought Obama represented a step in a different direction. And they have come to realize that Obama’s leadership has taken us in the wrong direction, or at least the same direction as Bush, only faster.  Many of these people do not identify with any particular party and often say they vote for the candidate, not the party.  Read more.........
