Maureen McDonnell - #1705 - 1st Mom: Maureen McDonnell Gets Used to the New Normal - Richmond Times-Dispatch

Maureen McDonnell hustles into the stands at a high school soccer game moments after it starts, bolting up the metal steps in a skirt and heels, lugging a binder stuffed with daily schedules and wedding-planning ideas for her daughter Cailin. She plops down on a bleacher, drops the binder and purse in front of her and digs for glasses to spot her twin sons on the field. Here, she's a soccer mom. People who recognize the former cheerleader with outsized energy know her as a team mother more than as first lady of Virginia.....On this day, in fact, McDonnell is looking toward the graduation of her high school seniors, Sean and Bobby, and an engagement party and wedding for Cailin, 25.
