Ground Zero Mosque - #1755 - A Cultural Center or Islamization? - American Thinker

This past week, just a few months prior to the anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies, the Planning Commission of lower Manhattan has approved the construction of a $100-million mosque near the site of Ground Zero. The mosque will be constructed in a city still bleeding from one of the worst civilian attacks since WWII, still suffering with the sad memory of the destruction of the World Trade Center and the loss of almost three thousand lives. After almost nine years, New Yorkers and all Americans still wait to see the replacement of the destroyed towers, but instead we find ourselves with a proposed Islamic cultural center, which for some will be nothing more than a landmark and a memorial to the victory of bin Laden and company as a sample of Islamic jihad against Western infidels.  Read more.......  Only New Yorkers are going to be able to stop this project, although according to those involved, they didn't need to ask permission they were informing the community,  they were going to be building this project.

Sharia vs. Free Speech in Tennessee: CAIR Calls for Tea Party Group to Drop Speaker from Convention - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is attempting to bully the Tennessee Tea Party Convention into dropping Pamela Geller as one of their speakers for their event this weekend in Gatlinberg.  And CAIR should know a little something about being a safe haven for bigots and extremists. After all, their former communications director sits in jail right now after pleading guilty to weapons and explosives charges. He also admitted helping terrorists gain entry to a training camp in Pakistan.  Read more......  I sure hope the Tennessee Tea Party group remains strong, not a tough call, we must stand for our rights to have whoever we want to speak at a convention.
